This is easily the best chippy I've ever been too!! Amazing food for a fraction of the price youd pay anywhere else, no expense spared on the equipment front of house, staff know what there doing and are funny I'd definitely recommend this place worth the drive from anywhere in newcastle!

Gormans Fish Shop is at the end of my boyfriends street, it looks very modern and the staff are very friendly. The prices are very competitive £1.30 for chips and a choice of fish Cod and Haddock both under £5. The fish also does burgers and kebab meet as well as the traditional fish shop meals. The food tastes really nice and you get massive portions, one bag of chips could easily satisfy two people, a very tasty treat for a reasonable amount of money.

No contest, this is the best fish and chips Newcastle has to offer. There is always a queue (particularly on Friday nights) but this is because all the fish is cooked to order, ensuring it is fresh and perfectly cooked without loads of grease. The chips are also excellent. The meals come in cardboard boxes with the slogan 'Often copied, never battered' and I have to agree with them! First class.
